Isabelle Johnson

Isabelle Johnson, Executive Director

Isabelle has been the Executive Director since January 2021, when she began shaping the new strategy and operational momentum for S&R Evermay. In this role, she strategically applies the Foundation’s resources toward creating meaningful and transformative social impact in Washington, D.C. and other strategic areas.

Isabelle serves on several non-profit boards in the role of Secretary/Treasurer. She has a degree from Colby College, with certifications in non-profit management and human resources.

Julee Blair, Operations Director

Julee Blair joined our team in March 2022 as the Operations Director. She brings extensive expertise in accounting and operations. Before joining Evermay, Julee served as the Business Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the President for Washington Analysis, an institutional investment research firm, overseeing all financial operations for the company.  Prior to her 11-year tenure at Washington Analysis, she spent four years in roles of increasing financial leadership responsibility at the International Fund for Animal Welfare, a 501c3 non-profit with the mission to rescue, rehabilitate and release animals and protecting their natural habitats.

Madison Dullea, Event Director

Madison joined the Evermay team in January of 2024. As Event Director, she aims to bring the spirit of hospitality to life at Evermay through organizing and executing events that celebrate the inspiring partners we work with.

Originally from New Hampshire, Madison holds a degree in Hospitality and Events Management from Endicott College. She has nurtured her passion for hospitality through diverse opportunities including working as a wedding planner on Cape Cod, opening a luxury boutique inn in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, consulting on business development for a catering start-up, and operating a private dinner series. After moving to the DMV in 2019, she worked as a multi-unit Training Coordinator and Manager for Starr Restaurants.

Ashley Cooper

Ashley Cooper, Operations Manager

Ashley Cooper joined the team as a bookkeeper in 2020, and now holds the role of  Operations Manager. She ensures that the financial, human resources, and administration functions of the entities run smoothly. Ashley graduated from Prince George’s Community College with her Associates Degree in Accounting and is perusing a Bachelor’s Degree at Bowie State University. She holds seven years of accounting experience.

Allison Gent, Program Manager

Allison joined the team in April 2024. In her role as Program Manager, Allison helps manage S&R Evermay’s four internal programs – The Washington Award, The Kuno Award, Evermay Visionaries, and Evermay Dialogue. She also supports our grantee relationships and manages the foundation’s philanthropic giving.

 

Prior to joining the Evermay team, Allison honed her program management skills at several nonprofits including Boys & Girls Clubs, Junior Achievement, and City Year. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Virginia and a Master of Public Service from the Clinton School of Public Service.

Alex Haliburton, Property Manager

Alex Halliburton joined the team as Assistant Property Manager in 2022 and now holds the role of Property Manager. He reports to the Executive Director and President to manage multiple historical properties in Washington, D.C. He also collaborates with Evermay’s Event Director to assist with events. Prior to joining the  team, Alex spent eight years developing his hospitality skills as a supervisor at a high-end catering company in Washington, D.C.

Rika Okayama, Legal Counsel

Rika joined S&R Evermay in April 2023. In her role, she is responsible for ensuring legal compliance of all activities and granting, particularly for engagement with international partners.

Admitted to the N.Y. Bar, Rika has an extensive experience of practice in the legal field for over 20 years, working for U.S. brands based in Japan including Oracle, Disney, and Hanesbrands. Rika graduated from Kyoto University with a law degree and holds an LL.M. degree from University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Seneca Peklo, Program and Administrative Coordinator

Seneca joined S&R Evermay as Program & Administrative Coordinator in January of 2023. In her role, she supports the daily operations of our CEO and COO, assists with program and event related tasks, and manages the organization’s web and social media presence.

Born and raised in Northern VA, Seneca holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies with a minor in Women and Gender Studies from Longwood University.

Reyna Quevado, Bookkeeper

Reyna joined the team in July 2023 as a Bookkeeper. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Science.

Before joining our team, Reyna gained bookkeeping roles such as as an Recreational & Accounting Administrator and a Executive Administrative Assistant/Accounts Receivable Specialist.

Mary Ryan, Deputy Director

As Deputy Director, Mary Ryan (she/her) administers S&R Evermay’s charitable giving, as well as the strategic planning and development of S&R Evermay’s programs. Mary also facilitates, in collaboration with consultants and artists, the Washington Awards and activities at the Fillmore School.

Mary is passionate about trust-based philanthropy. As someone with experience working in small non-profits, she believes in gifting without expecting cumbersome reporting outcomes that narrowly define success. Mary has a graduate degree in Administrative Social Work and Social Welfare Policy from the University of Chicago.

Kei Tolliver, Assistant Secretary and Treasurer

Kei has been assisting the operation of S&R since 2008. She is primarily involved in the corporate, legal, and administrative oversight for the Foundation, working closely with Dr. Kuno and the Board of Directors.

Born and raised in Nagano, Japan, Kei moved to the U.S. right after she graduated from high school with passion and a dream to do and experience “something different.” Kei is a practicing attorney and has her own law firm in Washington, D.C. She works primarily with startup companies, entrepreneurs, non-profit organizations, and Japanese businesses.
